The Wind River Range

Arrived in May, leaving behind a warm spring in the bustling front range of Colorado, for the quiet and still snowy Wind River Range.
After a few more May snowstorms, June brought some great fishing on the raging rivers coming out of the Winds.
A hot July came rushing in with tourists and travelers crawling all over the mountains while locals enjoyed the repreve of the heat in the crystal clear lakes.
August brought hard work bailing in the hay fields, green fields turning to carefully crafted lines of bailing. Intense heat, mosquitos and flys challenged patience, but epic dry fly fishing rewarded many.
September, the lakes were still and refreshing with slightly cooler temperatures for the sore and sunburnt bodies from a hard August to cool down in.
Fall finally arrived in October, with gold sprinkled across the hillsides and long shadows casting throughout the day as an orange glow cast upon the landscape during the afternoon golden hour.
The Wind River Range is a gorgeous place: wild, tough, enticing, luring, beautiful, rugged.
